How I work

I am a Registered and Accredited Counsellor & Psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and undertake regular continuing professional development and monthly clinical supervision for my practice. I also hold a clear Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

As an integrative therapist I use a range of therapeutic approaches. These include Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) .

About me

BACP Registered & Accredited

I am a Registered & Accredited Counsellor and psychotherapist with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). As an Accredited practitioner I meet the BACP's 'higher standard as a competent and ethical practitioner'.

Masters Qualified

I have a Masters Degrees in Psychotherapy and Counselling from the University of Leeds. I have also guest lectured to students at this University.

Integrative Counsellor

My theoretical approach to counselling and psychotherapy is an integrative one. This means that I adopt and tailor a wide range of theories and approaches to the needs and requirements of every client.

Published Counselling & Psychotherapy Researcher

My research into the ethical considerations of Counselling and Psychotherapy have been published in various peer reviewed academic journals such as Frontiers in Psychiatry.

Degree in Human Communication

I hold a Batchelor of Honours Degree in Human Communication from Lancaster University

Volunteer Counsellor for Bradford Bereavement

In addition to my private practice work I have also trained and worked as a volunteer counsellor for Bradford Bereavement Support.
